D. Koronakis SA established back in 1967 is one of the top leading companies worldwide in the production of synthetic ropes, serving the needs of the Shipping, Offshore Oil and Gas, Drilling and Towing, Yachting and Sailing, Fishing and Aquaculture Industries.

Our product range includes synthetic ropes, wire and combination ropes, mooring ropes and special sailing and yachting ropes. Produced in Greece, all products are globally recognized for their top quality and technical performance.

We produce hi tech ropes, all qualities for LNG, tankers, bulk carriers, container ships, offshore operations etc, including the biggest Shipping companies of the world to our client lists. Reference list is available upon request. Our Kapaneema and Kapaneema Plus ropes (DYNEEMA) are preferred for demanding projects, as they have proven their excellent properties and snap back free technology which is developed from our company since 1998.

For the field of Shipping and specifically for container vessels, we have developed mooring lines extremely light and easy to handle that drastically eliminate the time of mooring / demooring, the cost of stand by of the vessel, the maintenance and other related operational costs, while at the same time increase the efficiency and safety onboard.

D. Koronakis Sa is also specialized on steel wire ropes normal and special constructions like Verope, Casar etc and additionally, has a big stock of anchor chains 16-102mm, anchors up to 13 tons and their accessories, as well as liferafts from 6 to 50 persons inspected or not and other lifesaving equipment.

In recent years, the production units of the company have expanded, covering more than 104,000 m2 of building areas on more than 252,000 m2 of land. The company operates a state of the art factory that is able to produce any kind of rope, of any size, quality, length or color.

D. Koronakis Sa has also proceeded with the acquisition of the ex “Xanthi Cables” plant, moving to a new business activity. In the production of electric cables.

Recently, the purchase of the company’s new premises in Norway was realized. The new offices and warehouse are located in a strategic location in Alesund, one of the key ports of Norway. Thus, a new stock point will be added to the worldwide supply network of Koronakis which will allow the company to better service her customers in North Europe.

In our Mill, we have installed a unique 600T electronic testing bench specialized for OCIMF MEG4 which can simulate real operating conditions. A strict quality control at all stages of production is followed using specialized testing equipment and another 500ton bench capacity which operates next to our production line. Additionally, a 150ton testing bench is established at our premises in Piraeus.

Our ropes are recognized by all International Quality Registries and are Lloyds Type Approved.
