You are recommended by Dr. Eric Terrill of Scripps Institution of Oceanography to help on the ship and shipping issue described below. We are actually looking for a port service for arranging crane truck, labor, entry of the port, offload, and storage in a warehouse to offload the marine instruments shipped by a Taiwanese fishing boat "Jin Ho No. 33" from Taiwan to Palau. These instruments and sampling gears will be loaded to the US R/V Thomas G. Thompson for a US-Taiwan joint ocean expedition during 24 May and 8 June. The ETA of the fishing boat is 14 May but may be earlier or later than this ETA. The customs exemption of the shipment will be handled by the Embassy of the Republic of China in Palau. The Ambassador Jessica Lee kindly helps the research team to deal with the goods clearing customs.
