I am currently in search of a reputable freight-forwarding company to act as an agent based out of Mersin in order to assist with a temporary import of my personal vehicle into Turkey. The vehicle will be shipped to Mersin from Canada via ocean in a container (with an active Canadian license plate/registration) for a max stay of 2 years. Please let me know if your company is able to fully assist with the handling of my container at the port and managing all documentation as required until the vehicle has been released at the Mersin port. Pls note that I, as the vehicle’s owner, will arrive in Turkey as a tourist first (prior to the container’s arrive at the port) and then apply for an ikamet based on a rental property arrangement, so I would claim the vehicle either as a tourist or ikamet holder (this is to be determined). Also, please include your fees and confirm what those fees entail, if you are able to assist with this matter.
